Residential Landscaping in Norwalk, CT

Private homes and estates across Fairfield County, from a single bed to full grounds care. Most of our clients came from a neighbour pointing over the fence, which is the only advertising that has ever really worked for us.

Working on homes

One company for the whole property

Splitting a garden between a designer, a hardscape contractor and a mowing service is how a property ends up looking like three different ideas. We design it, build it and then keep it, so the person maintaining the beds is the one who chose the plants.

That continuity is worth more than it sounds. The crew already knows where the drainage runs, which shrub was moved last spring, and why the bed by the drive gets watered first in July.

Scale is not the point either. We take on a single bed as readily as a full grounds contract, and plenty of long-standing clients started with one hedge that needed rescuing.

What we do for homeowners

All four services, on one property, under one point of contact.

Landscape design

Plans drawn around how you use the garden, grade, light and drainage settled before anything is planted. Phased if the budget wants it that way.

Installation & hardscape

Planting, walkways, terraces, retaining walls and stone steps, built on a base that will hold through a Connecticut freeze cycle.

Weekly maintenance

Mowing, bed care, mulch, feeding and cleanups, the same day each week with a crew that gets to know the property.

Pruning

Hedges, ornamentals and flowering shrubs cut in the right window for the species, not whenever the round happens to fall.

Drainage & problem areas

The wet corner, the bank that washes out, the lawn that never recovers. Usually a grading question rather than a planting one.

Seasonal colour & cleanups

Spring and fall cleanups done properly, and planting that gives you something to look at from May through October.

Why Minutemen

Why homeowners here stay with us

The owner walks your property

You are not handed to a salesperson. The estimate comes from someone who will be on site while the work is done.

Fifty years, three streets away

We know which slopes wash out in a March storm and which lawns burn in August, because we have watched them do it.

Insured crews, same faces

Fully insured, and settled crews rather than a rotating list. It matters on a property people actually live on.

Planted for year five

Right plant, right place, room to mature. Anyone can make a bed look full on the day it goes in.

No. We take on a single bed or a run of hedge as readily as a full grounds contract, and a fair number of long-standing clients started exactly that way.

Not at all. Take one, take all four, or start with a plan and build it later. The advantage of one company is continuity, not a package you are obliged to buy.

Yes. Weekly grounds care on larger private properties is a substantial part of what we do, particularly in Greenwich, New Canaan and Weston.

Yes, including the on-site visit and the drive out to you. We would rather walk the property than quote blind, and you are under no obligation afterwards.

Maintenance can usually begin within a week or two. Design and installation are scheduled around weather and material lead times, and we will give you a realistic date rather than an optimistic one.

Fully insured, and happy to provide the certificate. On a residential property with people and pets around, that is not a detail to take on trust.
